Anoto AB

Anoto AB is a Swedish company developing digital pen and paper solutions. Core inventions include two critical components for Anoto’s functionality; a positioning pattern that can be printed on paper or other substrates, and an electronic pen that records pen movement over patterned surfaces using a miniature digital camera. The Anoto Group has around 110 employees, offices in Lund (head office), Stockholm, Boston, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Major shareholders are Ericsson, Logitech International S/A and Capital Group.

The main business is technology licensing. Licensees include Logitech, Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, Hitachi and 3M, Hamelin, Esselte on the printing and paper side.
